Vacuum Forming is a simple process that uses heat to soften a plastic sheet and then a vacuum to suck it down tightly against a pattern or mold. The plastic quickly coos and retains its shape. The mold or pattern can be made from wood, plaster, epoxy, resin, aluminum, plastic, and many other materials or a combination of materials.
Vacuum Forming is ideal in applications where sharp outside details are not required, however raised letters, logos and other decorative features can be implemented in initial mold design to produce a unique appearance.
In sheet sizes .030 to .375 thick. Formed size available 26” Draw or 48” x 120” part or smaller.
